Much Better | Chapter 7 | Fire Engine.
Joe’s POV;
The next morning I woke up to Demi and Zac bickering about waking me or not.
I groaned, earning their attention.
"See! Now you woke him up!", I heard Demi shout at Zac, and then a slap was heard.
"Ow! Sorry, but I need to speak to him!", Zac shouted to her.
"Will you both just shut the freak up?!", I groaned, sitting up.
Demi turned to look at me, and smiled. I smiled at her and opened my arms, and she came and hugged me.
I looked at Zac and rolled my eyes, he was pouting, rubbing his arm.
"Oh, man up, dude. You got hit by a girl!", I told him.
He growled, "That girl is my sister. Who happens to be very abusing...", he wacked me over the head then ran out the door.
"What was that for?!", I muttered, making Demi giggle.
I looked at her, pouting. She stopped giggling and pinched my lips.
My eyes widened and I backed my head, making her fingertips slip off.
She rolled her eyes when I rubbed my lips, glaring at her playfully.
She stood up and turned to me, stretching her hands out for me to take, "Breakfast is downstairs."
I smirked and took her hands, but when she was about to pull me up, I pulled her down, and ontop of me.
She gasped, then looked down at me, "Your evil."
I grinned, and just hugged her, lifting her up, making her straddle my waist as I walked out the door and down the stairs.
She jumped off of me when we reached the bottom, and ran to the kitchen.
I followed and sat down on the table stool next to hers.
Zac then rushed in with my sister on his shoulder. And she looked pissed when he set her down on the floor. She was wearing a oversized t-shirt and a pair of white flannel boxers, both clothings probably Zac's.
"What did he do?" Demi asked Nessa, and she looked- or more like, glared, at her brother before walking over to my sister.
Nessa glanced at me, before clearing her thoat and whispered something in Demis ears.
Demi made a face and shuddered, before sitting down next to me.
I furrowed my eyebrows confused.
Demi looked at me, then sighed, "You don't wanna know."
I nodded, and let out a understanding 'aah'.
I was eating my cornflakes when I noticed Demi staring at me.
Nessa and Zac had left to go over to our house, so it was only me and Demi here.
I turned my head towards her, "Whaaaat?" I asked her, dragging out the 'a'.
She shook her head, and looked at down the table, smiling.
I eyed her for a while. I knew that smile.
"Demi, what are you hiding?"
She looked up and grinned, "Nothin'," she answered, to fast.
"Tell meeeee." I pleaded.
She smirked, "Nope."
I groaned, "Fine, then you are no longer a friend of mine."
She giggled, "So, how did you sleep last night?"
I furrowed my eyebrow, "Um...Good?"
She nodded, and her lips formed a straight line. I could tell she was trying not to laugh.
"Why do you ask? Did I do or say something in my sleep?" I asked, suddenly, nervous. what if I talked in my sleep and she found out I still love her?
Oh god, this isn't good.
I looked over at her again, and she shrugged, "Something like that..."
The suspense was killing me! I had to know!
"Please tell me?!" I begged.
"Tell me, Joe. Were you dreaming about me last night?" she asked, smirking.
Crap. Crap. Crap.
Damn it!
"Uh...Yeah...." I said, feeling my cheek grow hot, and I bet I was as red as a tomato right now.
She nodded again, "Cause you were saying my name alot. And when I say alot, I mean, ALOT."
My face turned even more red, as I looked at her.
I opened my mouth to say something, when we both heard the front door open and close, then footsteps coming towards the kitchen.
Then Nick walked in. He smiled and went to kiss Demi's cheek and when he turned to me, he froze, "Joe?"
"Yeah?"
"....Why is your face as red as a fire engine?"
And all that was heard after that was Demi's laughter.
